Core Remodeling builds kitchens, bathrooms, basements, attics, porches, and additions for homeowners across the Birmingham metro. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
Who we are

What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in an estimate request or contact form we collect the details you type into it. That is normally your name, phone number, email address, the city you live in, the type of project you are planning, and whatever you tell us about it.
Information collected automatically. Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard access logs. These record the IP address of the device making the request, the browser and operating system it reports, the pages requested, and the date and time. We use these for security and troubleshooting, not to build a profile of you.
We do not ask for, and please do not send us, payment card numbers, bank details, or Social Security numbers through this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare an estimate for the work you asked about.
- To contact you about that project, by phone, email, or text, using the details you gave us.
- To keep records of the quotes we have issued and the jobs we have done.
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
We do not use your details to send marketing you did not ask for, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you requested an estimate.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Form submissions are emailed to us and are also saved in this website’s database, so we can look back at what you originally asked for. They are visible to Core Remodeling staff who need them to quote or run your project, and to the people who maintain this website.
This site is hosted on shared web hosting, and routine backups are taken which include that database. Our hosting and email providers can technically access data held on their systems in the course of running those services.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other contractors or lead brokers.
We share it only where it is needed to do the work or run the site: with suppliers or trade partners when a specific detail of your project requires it, with our hosting, email, and backup providers as part of those services, and with our accountant or insurer where a job record requires it. If the law requires us to disclose something, we will.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept for about two years, so we can pick the conversation back up if you return to the project. Records relating to work we actually carried out are kept longer, because warranty and tax obligations require it. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep it.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site sets only the cookies needed to make it work, for example remembering form state or keeping you logged in if you are a site administrator. We are not currently running Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or advertising or retargeting pixels on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated before it does.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some conveniences may not.
Content and reviews from other services
We display our Google reviews on this website. That content comes from Google, and viewing it may involve your browser contacting Google’s servers, which is governed by Google’s own privacy policy rather than ours. Pages may also embed maps or video from third parties, which behave the same way.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your enquiry and contact details.
- Stop contacting you.
Call (205) 938-4075 or use the contact page and say what you would like us to do. We will confirm once it is done. There is no charge for this.
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging work on a home. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will remove them.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, access to the website’s administration area is restricted, and submitted enquiries are only available to people who need them. No website can promise perfect security, but if something did go wrong with data you gave us, we would tell you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
